X-n-tric, was originally published for orchestra and mandolin leaving the adapter no qualms in re-rendering this piece for recorders. If the title's spelling is a little eccentric then X-n-tric is not particularly so as it is a straight-up-and-down two step. It is a real fun piece being quite jolly. The treble part is quite demanding carrying the melody for the most part of the work (although the tenor also does have a nice passage in the third section), is fairly ornamented and requires careful playing of the top notes.
X-n-tric was published by Whitney-Warner Publishing Co., Detroit, Michigan, USA.
A tempo of 100 crotchets/min. is suggested.
This recorder adaptation was respectfully dedicated to Maren [Mary] Holstein, a real-live self-confident horse-loving eccentric from, Bremen-Vegesack, Germany.
