It was
Stephan Schrader who introduced me to this item whilst playing in two of his ensembles in 2001. This is a fairly straight-up-and-down piece presenting little difficulty to medium players. Its charms, for me, lie in its gentle opening in the lower voices whereby the upper voices have to wait some 15 to 20 bars before getting stuck in. Whilst beautiful in a soft, almost melancholy manner, it does not exactly set the house on fire.
