Gaetano Pugnani  (1731-1798)

According to The New Penguin Dictionary of Music, Gaetano Pugnani was an Italian violinist and composer of violin sonatas, operas, etc.: the "Praeludium and Allegro", formerly said to be arranged from Pugnani by Kreisler, was admitted by Kreisler in 1935 to be entirely the latter's own work.
