Georg Muffat  (1653-1704)

According to The New Penguin Dictionary of Music, Georg Muffat was a German organist and composer, possibly of Scottish descent. Studied in Paris and Rome; wrote keyboard music, works of the concert grosso type, etc. Father of Gottlieb Muffat.
