Henri Clark  (1840-1905)
Last updated: 26.04.24
It is surprising that so little is known about this performer considering the large number of compositions located. All that can presently (March 2021) be gleaned about Henri Clark from sheet music covers and by Internet searching is that he has been featured on 16 works published between 1873 and 1895. Additionally he is noted as the composer of The Mad Butcher
A poster held by the British Library for a Christmas holiday performance on December 22nd 1885 at the South London Palace describes him as a "harlequinade".
Surfers are welcome to contribute any further information about this performer/composer.

The loss of this valuable resource is very sad and a mystery.
