p_logane.jpgAccording to the Internet source given below, Ella Logan was a Scottish-American actress and singer born as Georgina Allan in Glasgow.
Her career started performing as a child under the name Ella Allan before becoming in music hall band singer. She debuted in 1930 in the London West End in Darling! I Love You and toured Europe.
After emigrating to the USA, she sang in various clubs and recorded jazz on the British Columbia label. She appeared in several Hollywood films and Broadway shows in the 1930s and early 1940s. During World War II she traveled to Europe and Africa entertaining troops.
Suspected of being a communist sympathiser, her career was wrongfully hampered by the FBI.
In the 1950s Logan became an international night-club performer appearing in New York, London and Paris. By the 1960's she continued to work occasionally in clubs, on television and in theatrical stock productions.
She died in Burlingame, California.
