p_briscoeo.jpgAll that can presently (May 2024) be gleaned about Olive Briscoe from sheet music covers and by Internet searching is that she was presumably an American actress/singer who has been featured on just one work namely Honey (1921) wordss & music by Milton Ager.
A brief article published by Variety on 20th May, 1911 records:
Olive Briscoe makes several costume changes, finishing in a close-fitting cerise gown covered with crystals that is beautiful. Miss Briscoe is a recruit from the legitimate. She performs three songs, interspersed with talk. Between verses she told of the differences at the ball game and in the nursery. The tall, handsome brunette has a very pleasing personality. Her best number was "Not Like The Days of 1861." The chorus has a pretty melody. Her work is very much appreciated.
Her portrait on the left is taken from the J. Willis Sayre Collection of Theatrical Photographs.
