Scottish Recorder Orchestra

According to the Internet source given below, the orchestra has about 60 members, playing all sizes of recorder from sopranino to contrabass, making a full orchestral sound. Repertoire ranges from ancient to modern, including original compositions and arrangements of pieces written for other combinations. Rehearsals are once per month plus occasional residential weekends. Public concerts are performed at least annually. There is a special relationship with the Blockflötenconsort Dortmund involving joint residential weekends and joint concerts in both countries.
