According to the Internet source given below, Andrew Lloyd Webber is an English composer. He studied at Westminster and Oxford, dropping his studies there to collaborate with Tim Rice in writing musicals. The first success was Joseph (1968) to be followed by Jesus Christ Superstar. Other works include Evita (1975), Cats, A Chorus Line, Starlight Express (1984), Phantom of the Opera (1986), Aspects of Love (1989), Sunset Boulevard (1993). A winner of many awards (Academy Award, Tony Awards, Grammy Awards, Drama Desk awards, and Critic Circle awards), he was knighted in 1997.
