According to the Internet source given below, Morley Calvert was a conductor, bandmaster, composer and educator born in Brantford, Ontario.
He studied at McGill University and in 1958 founded the Monteregian Music Camp (providing summer training for high school students) at Ayes Cliff, Montreal. He also founded and directed the McGill University Concert Band, going on to start and direct other bands,
Many of his compositions employ folk music material and are light, pleasing works.
