In England geiht dat lustig her
Last updated: 22.01.22
I was introduced to "In England geiht dat lustig her" by Manfred Eichholz, a member of The Vegesack Whalermen, and it is now in our repertoire. The tune is very similar to Ein Mann, der sich Kolumbus nannt but has quite a different chorus. The song deals with the differences in shipbuilding between the English and the East Friesians, to the detriment of the English of course! It is quite jolly.
The song may be found in Der Seesack
