Honey Moon Rag, another optimistic Scott composition which almost begs to rattled off but please note the composer's request namely:
Do not play this piece fast. Its form is of AABACCBB with a 4-bar interlude preceding the CC-strains.
As can be seen on the left, the cover of the original sheet music, a pictorial pun, appropriately shows a nattily clad honey moon pair looking back to their friends at the place of their matrimony and being smiled on by a benevolent, honey coloured full-moon.
As with much of Scott's work here too the upper registers are widely explored demanding meticulous tonguing from the performers.
