Lemons and Limes, said to make your mouth water according to the cover of the original sheet music, is a fine, effervescent and well-crafted rag which fairly bubbles with joy. Its form is ABACCA whereby the AB- and C-strains are written in the keys of C and F respectively. The cover appropriately and accurately depicts both fruits so well that the illustration could well find its home in a botany book. Much recorded, it is another great fun piece to be included in a programme dedicated to lady ragtimers!
Lemons and Limes was published by Will Rossiter, Chicago, Illinois, USA.
A tempo of 80 crotchets/min. is suggested.
