p_williamssam.jpgAll that can presently (November 2023) be gleaned about Sam Williams from sheet music covers and by Internet searching is that he was an American vaudeville pianist and composer of some 19 works published between 1905 and 1958.
His portrait on the left is taken from Bridget Mahoney (1913) composed by himself and published by M. Witmark and Sons, New York, Chicago, San Francisco, USA. Here he is shown together with his wife and partner Kate Elinore who was also the lyricist/coauthor for many of his works.
Williams was also featured on 4 works singly and with other performers published between 1907 and 1912.
