Giaches de Wert  (1535-1596)

According to The New Penguin Dictionary of Music, Giaches de [or Jaches de] was a Flemish composer who went to Italy as a boy chorister and settled there, dying in Mantua. Wrote madrigals, motets, etc., and held court and church musical posts.
