Arthur Lange  (1889-1959)
Last updated: 08.02.23
Arthur Lange was a New York orchestra leader and Tin Pan Alley composer of popular music born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
He is known to have written the music for some 40 titles published between 1909 and 1924. The lyricists with whom he worked include Andrew B. Sterling, Bernie Grossman and Jeff Branen. There is also speculation that he was possibly the composer of On Again, a march two step, when just a precocious lad of 10-years old in 1899. Of ragtime interest are his Rag a Muffin Rag (1909) and Parisian Rag (1918).
He died in Washington D.C
