John Black  (1520-1587)

According to the Internet source given below, John Black was a Scottish singer and composer.
Based in Aberdeen, he was a singer, assistant organist and became Master of the Aberdeen Song School. He wrote consorts and "lessons" on psalms some of which are published in the Scottish manuscript The Art of Music, (late 1570s).
