Charles Bignell  (1866-1935)
Last updated: 18.03.25
p_bignellc.jpgIt is surprising that so little is known about this performer considering the large number of items of sheet music located. All that can presently (February 2025) be gleaned about Charles Bignell from sheet music covers and by Internet searching is that he was an English successful Music Hall performer who has been featured on some 26 works published between 1890 and 1901.
His portrait on the left is taken from I Rememered, composed and sung by himself, words by Charles Wilmot and published by Francis, Day & Hunter, London W.C.2, England.
Surfers are welcome to contribute any further information about this performer.
This list is derived from information provided by Monologues.co.uk which went down sometime in 2023.
The loss of this valuable resource is very sad and a mystery.
