Bonnie Thornton (-1920)
Last updated: 09.07.23
p_thorntonb.jpgIt is surprising that so little is known about this performer considering the large number of compositions located. All that can presently (August 2021) be gleaned about Bonnie Thornton from sheet music covers and by Internet searching is that she has been featured on 22 works published between 1892 and 1899. It may be assumed that she is related to the same named composer, James Thornton who wrote at least 10 works for her.
She is illustrated on several of the sheet music covers located, this one is from She's the Comfort of Their Home (1896) words & music by Ed Rogers, and published by Jos. W. Stern & Co., New York, USA.
Surfers are welcome to contribute any further information about this performer.
