It is surprising that so little is known about this performer considering the large number of recordings located. All that can presently (October 2024) be gleaned about Margaret Romaine from sheet music covers and by Internet searching is that she was presumably an American soprano who made at least 49 recordings on the Victor and Columbia labels.Her 1913 portrait by the Bain News Service is held in the J. Willis Sayre Collection of Theatrical Photographs.
