p_papertef.jpgAll that can presently (October 2024) be gleaned about Frances Paperte from sheet music covers and by Internet searching is that she was presumably an American contralto who made at least 3 recordings with the Columbia Light Opera Company on the Columbia label in 1927. She was a leading singer at the Chicago Opera Company.
