I had known of "The Ould Triangle" for years and can dimly remember someone doing a very funny parody on the radio in the early eighties. After seeing some old black-and-white footage of Dominic Behan himself, bless him, singing it on a German TV documentary on Ireland, and what a marvellous performance it was, I knew this song just had to be in my repertoire. The lyrics and melody were found quick enough, guess where, yes in good old Soodlum's 100 Irish Ballads Volume 2 of course.
