rpkoschitzki.jpgAccording to the Internet source given below, Daniel Koschitzki, born in 1978, has made a name for himself giving concerts all over Europe, Canada and the USA and taking part in several CD productions and various radio and television broadcasts. He was awarded 1st prize at the Jugend musiziertì Competition, 1st prize at the International Recorder Competition of Engelskirchen, 2nd prize at the International ERTA Recorder Competition 2001 and 1st prize at the Moeck/ SRP Solo Recorder Playing Competition in 2001.
Beside his performing as a soloist, Daniel Koschitzki has played in several chamber music ensembles both as a recorder player and as a pianist winning the Festa Special Awardì for outstanding ensemble performance at the International Chamber Music Competition of Osaka and 1st prize at the International Charles Hennen Concours of Heerlen.
For three years Daniel Koschitzki has been doing a double major studies at the Academy of Music in Karlsruhe, Germany, studying the recorder with Karel van Steenhoven and the piano with Michael Uhde. Searching for new expression possibilities on the recorder he has developed a great interest in free improvisation and electronic music. Since September 2000 Daniel Koschitzki has been a member of the Loeki Stardust Quartet Amsterdam.
