Rag Tags Rag is a most enjoyable romp guaranteed to warm the cockle of collective ragtime hearts. Its form is AABBACCB with a 4-bar introduction whereby the AABBA- and CCB-strains are written in the keys of C and F respectively. With this adaptation for recorder quintet being an all tenor/bass affair, the basses should take care not to overdo the melody voices. A great rag indeed!
Rag Tags Rag was published by Delmar Music Co. Ltd., Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
A tempo of 80 crotchets/min. is suggested.
