Holy Moses is a corker of a rag and as spirited and as ragged as it gets. Its form is AABBACCDDC with a 4-bar introduction and a 4-bar interlude between the A and CC strains. The treble voice will delight in the flowing solo passages, there are is close harmony and counter melodies for the supporting voices whilst the basses too are not left out of the fun. All-in-all a splendid ensemble piece!
Holy Moses was published byArnett-Delonais Co., Chicago, Illinois, USA.
A tempo of 90 crotchets/min. is suggested.
