Length: approx. 3 mins.
Horseshoe Rag is a no-nonsense, straight-up-and-down, thumping rag in AABBCCA form with a 4-bar introduction. Its melodious strains, contagious and almost hypnotic, simply demand an encore. A great ensemble piece whereby all voices are fully occupied with hardly a chance to take a breath. Top stuff indeed!
A tempo of 80 crotchets/min. is suggested.
Horseshoe Rag was published by J.H. Aufderheide & Co., Indianapolis, Indiana, USA.
There is also a descant solo version of this item.
