"Memory and Amazing Grace", is an albums which I purchased in September 1997 intended to be played by Blue Tuesday. It has as you have already guessed just two pieces namely:
Memory and Amazing Grace.
Memory composed by Webber  (1948-), arr.: Albrecht Rosenstengel
Quintet: D/A/A/T/B
A first glance at the score (which incidentally also includes parts for piano and percussion) might suggest an easy arrangement but my experience with Blue Tuesday (no at all slouches) proved otherwise. Most players had rythmic difficulties in coming to terms with the rapid time-signature changes (12/8, 10/8,12/8,6/8) - not easy for players steeped in "classical" and baroque works. As a result, this work was not popular and, sadly, rarely played.
Amazing Grace composed by Anon  (ignoto), arr.: Albrecht Rosenstengel
Octets : D/D/A/A/T/T/B/B
The arrangement of Amazing Grace for recorder orchestra (which can also be accompanied by piano and guitar) presents absolutely no problems for beginners. I have played it a few times with Blue Tuesday - unsurprisingly, it was not particularly satisfactory as there were just five of us. It seems that a large number of players is required to achieve a nice effect
With this piece, my recorder and folk-music worlds overlap as I have played (penny-whistle) and sang Amazing Grace literally hundreds of times.
