Kerry Mills Rag Time Dance is a fine stately composition that Mills described as a characteristic piece which can be used as a two step. As such it is lightly syncopated and easy to dance to. Its form is AABBACB and it is written in the keys of C and F for the final CB sections. All-in-all a light-hearted, happy piece well suited for beginner/medium recorder ensembles.
A tempo of 120 crotchets/min. is suggested. Kerry Mills Rag Time Dance was published by F. A. Mills, New York, USA.
There are also sextet and descant solo versions of this item.
