Cry-Baby Blues tells the simples story of a spurned lover who threatens to leaves his intended because she is cold towards him and warns her of her bleak lonely future should she not change her ways. Well, the sentiments expressed might not go down too well in this 21st century but it is a fine blues for a tenor and bass recorder quintet!
Cry-Baby Blues was published by Irving Berlin Inc., New York, USA.
A tempo of 120 crotchets/min. is suggested.
