Publisher's blurb
Beethoven's Für Elise, with its reputation as a piano work for beginners, is also the title of a well known classical music programme on Dutch radio. This tango variation for recorder quartet was just one of several versions that were used to introduce the broadcasts.
Paul Leehouts, Amsterdam 1991

Personal remarks:
I was introduced to this work by Stephan Schrader in 2000 as a member of his Bremen Ensemble. This is great fun indeed and a joy to play. I especially love the chromatic runs and the chanted Tango für Elise - Olé! at its conclusion. since then, I have played several times with other groups.
One notable performance was, as a bass player and member of the Bremer Blockflötenensemble, given at the Kreismusikschule Diepholz on 8th September 2001.
