Length: approx. 4 mins.
Blue Moon is a somewhat dreamy fox trot which charms with its grace and many fine touches. Its form is ABBACC with a 4-bar introduction which doubles as an interlude preceding the final A-strain. It is written entirely in C-major.
The melodies are shared by the treble and 1st tenor voices in this adaptation for recorder sextet. The cover of the original sheet music appropriately shows an elegant lady in flowing robes illuminated by a blue moon.
Blue Moon was published by Lee S. Roberts, Chicago, Illinois, USA.
A tempo of 120 crotchets/min. is suggested.
