With Silver Star Johnson added another song to the Indian Music genre prevalent and fashionable in during the ragtime years. He joined such worthies as Kerry Mills and his Redwing (1909) DBE 327, Percy Wenrich's Silver Bell (1910) and Vincent C. Plunkett's Pretty Little Rainbow (1919) just to mention a few. This is a lovely, easy little syncopated two-step that beginners will have no trouble with and no doubt enjoy.
Silver Star was published by J.W. Jenkins' Sons Music Co., Kansas City, Missouri, USA.
A tempo of 84 crotchets/min. is suggested.
