"Zwei Fantasien zu drei Stimmen" by John Coperario was one of the first five works which I selected for use by the Klingende Runde für jung und alt in 1981. The first fantasy was regularly played by the adult circle and was also played by
The Schwanewede Recorder Consort during the West Yorkshire tour in 1983.
It was also played by
Blue Monday and the Alt-Aumund Blockflötenensemble. It was
Bettina Kiefner's, erstwhile member of
Blue Monday, special favourite.
I personally love the way tension builds up throughout the piece and the whole thing has a very "modern" feel about it.
