Follow The Crowd On A Sunday was, according to the cover of the original sheet music, "sung with great Success by the inimitable Comedienne Nora Bayes". The good lady herself is also shown in an inset against promenading folk in their Sunday best. This pleasant song makes an interesting social comment of the universal 6-day week which was the lot of our predecessors right into the 1960s. Four extra verses are given on page 6. This transcription for recorder quintet benefits greatly when accompanied by a vocalist.
Follow The Crowd On A Sunday was published by M. Witmark and Sons, New York, Chicago, San Francisco, USA.
A tempo of 150 crotchets/min. is suggested.
