Andreas Crappius  (1542-1623)

According to the Internet source given below, Andreas Crappius, also Krapp, Crappe was a German music teacher and hymn composer born in Lüneburg.
He matriculated at the Universität Wittenberg. His tutor Musicae artis elementa (1599) was a standard for many years. He taught at Melchior Schildt and other schools dominating Hanoverian musical life until his retirement.
He died in Hanover.
