Jacob Arcadelt  (1514-1568)

Jacob Arcadelt was, according to The New Penguin Dictionary of Music, a Flemish composer of masses, motets, madrigals, etc. One of the earliest practitioners of the madrigal, working in Rome as Papal musician.
