This is a very beautiful children's' book, if you are a navy buff that is, written during WW I. Beautiful photographs, well-written, surprisingly un-jingoistic considering the period, covering nearly all aspects of naval life and warships and surely would have delighted and child with naval leanings. I found it in a Worcester second-hand book shop for just a few pounds. It also has a special personal charm in that it had been owned by one J.T.F. Hills who had been my history and house-master (Yewle), at the Worcester Royal Grammar School between 1952 and 1957.
Now in the later stages of my life, I passed this little treasure on to a very good naval friend for safekeeping.
